I hosted the Gallery Z’s Me We Festival, held online Febrauary 18 to 27. Every evening artists shared their music, video works, drawings or stories, followed by conversation with attendees.

I collaborated with artist Lisa Mayes on a podcast, which became the soundtrack for her short film, Rags to Riches. See Rags To Riches – YouTube .

May & June 2019
I facilitated ‘matriarchal movement’ workshops at the Pine Collective studio every Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM. The first step in building a future public performance. For more information see here or check out the Dance Sister Dance page here.

It Is Only Sound That Remains, a sound theatre production about the life of Montreal-Iranian photojournalist Zahra “Ziba” Kazemi, created in collaboration with Shahrzad Arshadi and Moe Clark, is performed as part of the Oral History Association conference at Concordia University.

There will be sounds of trees, of solar flares and radios. It is also a good time to support our program and the miracle that is community radio, by making a pledge here.

In collaboration with the Car Dew Treat Us ensemble, musicians dk, Allison Cameron, Paul Serralheiro, Philippe Battikha, Vergil Vergil Sharkya, Lawrence Joseph and Rod Dubey (voice narration), performed 10 pages of Cornelius Cardew’s Treatise at La Vitrola (Montreal). The duo of Vergil Sharkya (synths) and Geneviève Gauthier (sax) opened the show.

My talk drew connections between Ali Hassan’s comedy in the Trump era and Rudolph Herzog’s book, Dead Funny: Telling Jokes in Hitler’s Germany.
